Trying to you know live up to it more than the more than the like haters I guess I could care less about the haters that they were just they were they were They were more fun to shut up It was just you're trying to live up to something every single day to your own Your side right your side which was which was harder than living up to the kind of what the haters would do.

Yeah.

I had a good core friends that, you know, I grew up with that were friends before I was even like a, you know, a really good basketball player in high school.

It was more, we were childhood friends.

Those became my core friends all the time.

And they're always like either your teammates of some sort, whether your basketball teammates, your baseball teammates, right, your high school teammates.

So that was pretty easy.

I never had to think about that.

My parents, especially my dad, really protected me from outside people trying to, you know, come into your life, whether it was, you know, this is before a world where you could even talk to an agent in high school or college.

my parents protecting me from the outside world that that felt like was trying to come into my life they did a good job of that making sure i was um communicating or talking to a meeting with the right people that would help my career as opposed to and protecting me from the ones that were going to like derail my career get me distracted from trying to get better and continue to be to be on the right path to try to try to you know get a division one scholarship play at a great school and you know hopefully make the nba

Yeah, yeah.

It really is true.

And these kids are magnified with the social media that is put out there for good and for bad, right?

Yeah.

The amount of scholarships I bet or the amount of rankings people moved up or gotten on the map because of social media, there's such a positive influence on these guys' ability to be seen.

And there's just as much negative.

So even though I didn't live in a world of social media, I think there's some really, really good stuff with it.

And there's obviously some distractings.

Yeah.

So it kind of started for me entering my junior year.
