It was like we were getting up and down, or if it was a half-court day, we were always, like, it was so competitive.
Yeah, we did our drills.
We did our communication drills or our, like, get-to-your-spot drills to teach pace or to teach echoing commands.
But it was very just like, man, the end of practice, you were just so winded.
where in the Utah practice, you were just so sore from standing and stopping all the time, right?
Those are the difference.
Coach K was hour and a half to two hours, like, let's go.
He's very, he's militant, right?
So it was like 10 minutes on the clock, we're gonna be done in 10 minutes, boom, 10, 10, 10.
Where Majerus was like, I don't know if we're gonna get through all this today, right?
And he'd be out there for three and a half to four hours.
It's just what it was, right?
Which I think is a big reason I always got injured, because it was like, this was really hard on my body of like, all right, we're standing for 30 minutes, listening, teaching, and then boom, we're going.
Right, and so what I took away from Coach K especially was just like the communication factor.
Like all the like college-y, I call it college-y stuff, diving on the floor, right?
Talking, being a good teammate, lifting them up, body language, right?
The message you're sending your coach is sending your teams.
All of those stuff is what really resonated for me because it was super new to me.
Not that my high school coach, he was a good coach, but he didn't coach the college thing.
He didn't have to.
