Spurs have been renowned for their frugality, mainly under Daniel Levy, who is seen as this incredible businessman, great stadium.
Spurs always produce great financial records, but that was to the detriment of the team.
And Spurs fans were longing for big players and big signings.
They'd always used to miss out on big plays because they refused to pay the wages.
Now, two things have happened here, Adam.
One is obviously Daniel Levy is gone.
And now the Lewis family, this multi-mega-billion-pound family from America are bankrolling Spurs.
So the money is there.
And two, because they've been so frugal, they're not really at risk of financial fair play.
And those rules are changing this season as well.

It's squad cost ratio.
Now, SCR, I won't bore you with all the maths about it, but it means that Spurs are in a great position to spend and spend they have.
Spurs can start the season with these big players, with a manager that knows how to perform in the Premier League and maybe add even more players.
Then, yeah, I think we can definitely start speaking about Spurs in more positive terms as opposed to last season when it was all,
very, very negative and doom and gloom.
