It was a place for our imagination.

And we played with these things and it literally fuelled our imagination.

I had the plastic soldiers.

Did you have the ones that were sort of like about that big or the ones that were quite small like that ones?

Yeah, that, yeah.

Yeah, something like that.

Cheeky.

Yeah, I had those as well.

I thought they were nearer eight inches actually, yeah.

And we'd have them – I grew up with a twin brother.

So we would have war games and we'd have – we were into aeroplanes and we made model kits.

And we'd hang them from the ceiling on threads or probably threads nicked from my mum's sewing basket when people had sewing baskets because they fixed clothes and stuff like that.

I mean, fix these aeroplanes.

I remember an F-14 Tomcat being really impressed because it had swing wings and that was when these first appeared.

It was early 70s, wasn't it, when that thing first appeared?

All of those things were about imagination.

And we're going to sound like all farts now because this device has sort of

sort of swallowed imagination for little kids and big kids like us.

So Dinky and Corgi is the metaphor for the imagination and the model aircraft and the model soldiers that has made us what we are today.

I think it's wonderful.
