I mean, the 924 is kind of like the QI klaxon answer, isn't it, to the, oh, he's gone for the Audi engine, not quite a Porsche.
No, it would have been, I mean, even the, it's interesting, isn't it, looking back?
When I was at university and first working, I couldn't conceive of even fantasizing about a 911 because it was just too far over the horizon.
You couldn't realistically even dream about it.
You could just about dream about a 944.
And when the 944S2 came along with that beautiful, that long, elongated ellipse of a sort of a dashboard with all the clocks in it,
And the lovely interior and the smoothed out, the rounded valets at the front rather than stuck on the bumper bit.

I remember reading the 944 Turbo test in Car Magazine, 1985, 86, something like that, thinking I'll never desire a car more than that.
It's just got everything.
It looks fantastic.
It's got 250 horsepower, which is more than God.
It's a four-cylinder engine.
And if it did that now, a bit like, I wonder how history will regard the flat four boxers and Caymans.
But when you see a 9146 now, and there's the one... Tuthill did one a few years ago with a 9146 GT with the arches.

So I've already mentioned these cars and I kind of got them when I thought about them for the first love.
