Capitol Police says there were 14,938 threats against members last year.
That's up 57% from around 9,500 in 2024.
There were about 8,000 in 2023.
The report comes from the Capitol Police Threat Assessment Section.
It investigates threats made against members of Congress, their staff, families, and the Capitol complex itself.
Chief Michael Sullivan says in a statement, while security on Capitol grounds has already been improved, the department is also strengthening partnerships with law enforcement agencies and members' home districts to protect them away from the Capitol, with a number of formal agreements tripling to more than 350 departments around the country last year.
