You mean like you're talking about the tech bros in particular?
I'd say two things.
First off, there's just such a massive concentration of wealth in the United States.
And people know it.
People see it.
I mean, it feels... It's just...
The numbers make it very clear.
I also don't think personally that there's like a small crew of people who have like secret meetings and then run the United States or run the Fed or run the Congress or even run the executive branch.
I don't see evidence of that kind of there are true oligarchies in the world.
where that is the case.
I don't see that in the United States today.
And so I tend not to use that term.
Instead, I talk about the concentration of wealth and how to bring antitrust and anti-monopoly, a wealth tax, all of these what I consider pretty aggressive policies to bear to make the economy more fair, but also to be clear that we can do that.
There's something about the oligarchy thing which makes it sound almost hopeless or something.
These rich guys are always just going to organize things to get more money.
Maybe, maybe not.
Like there are lots of periods in American history.
