But when we went to book the return flight, I log in and I search SFO or Narita to SFO, nothing.
Someone had literally like taken
The second it opened.
So we had two seats to Vancouver and two seats to Seattle.
remember going to my wife and I was like, I know we wanted direct flights on the same flight together, but instead, I'm gonna take one kid to Vancouver, you're gonna take one kid to Seattle, and then we'll buy other flights, and then we'll meet back in San Francisco.
So actually, we're gonna land at the same airport and take off from the same airport.
So that's nice, but it's not direct.
And my wife's like
Do we want to take this trip?
Right.
Like, do we really want to take this trip?
And so my argument is you could just not do anything and wait until something opens up and then book it.
Our challenge is it was spring break.
Like we want to commit to going to Japan for spring break.
And if we have no flights, like it's really hard to commit.
So we did that.
Sure enough, we ended up all four on nonstop direct flights in business class from SSF to Tokyo and back.
Like it happened.
And this is the common recurring theme for every trip we've taken.
And my wife finally, I think in this most recent trip we're taking in a couple days to Europe, she's finally accepted my kind of story, which is like 95-ish percent of the time.
