So I did this mid-year check-in episode, probably will be out by the time this comes out, where it's like, what's going on in the state of points of miles right now?
And something that started with Delta, which was hold our card and you get 15% off your flights.
Now, Delta points are
are often, not always, but often just kind of like somewhat directional with the cash price.
And so if you booked a lot of Delta flights, great.
Then United said, hold our card and we'll give you card member pricing.
And it will be
at least ten percent off.
And so I think everyone in the industry thought it's gonna be like Delta.
You're gonna get ten percent off.
But what I noticed with this particular trip we're taking to Europe, because I wasn't checking it as much, but I happened to have a friend that for whatever reason, he like was always checking and he was going to the same destination around the same time.
And so when he would search, he would just also put SF just to see if he found something.
And he found a flight on United that the non-card member pricing was like 300,000 points, but the card member pricing was like 60 or 70,000 points.
ten percent off.
It was like you know, I don't know, sixty, seventy percent off.
And only recently did some of the award search tools start including card member pricing.
And so I think Seats.arrow and Points Path include card member pricing, but most of the other tools don't.
And so one, you need to have a united card to even see that price.
And two, you need to be searching somewhere that's going to show you that card member pricing, or you're gonna miss out on that deal.
And so I one hundred percent would have missed out on that deal were it not for this person
