And so that is one of the things that I think is happening is it wouldn't surprise me if other airlines follow suit and now they're starting to release less availability to partners, keeping more availability to their own members, and maybe even gating it for members who have their cards.
Qatar Avios just said you can't book for anyone else unless you
credit miles here or have our credit card.
So there's this trend, which I think is going to require you to probably have more cards linked to airlines to be able to get the best deals.
And it's not great for someone who's like, I like to keep it simple with one credit card.
Now, you don't have to use the cards.
You just have to have them.
So I think that's gonna happen more and more.
I know it's rough.
Which sucks.
The other thing is when it comes to the like planning these trips, like you book something suboptimal, you're willing to cancel it and book something else.
There's two things that happen that you have to be cautious of.
One, if you transfer your points from Amex to Air France and you book this thing that's suboptimal, and you don't have a lot of points elsewhere, those points are in Air France.
Yes, like they're flying blue points.
Going back to Amex, they're not going back to anyone else.
And so those transfer partners are one-way streets.
It makes flexibility harder if you don't have more points.
