Well, if you book that flight in the travel portal on chase and get one cent per point, it's a cash booking.
So you're gonna earn that 20% extra bonus.
So for sure you should do that.
And if it's 1.1 cents, I would argue in a lot of.
airlines, you're probably way better off booking it with cash because you're probably going to get a 20% bonus.
On hotels, I don't know what it's up to now, but I think if you have like the Hilton Aspire card and Hilton Diamond Status, you're earning like 26 or something, 28, I can't remember the number, Hilton points per dollar.
And so
If you book a stay that's, you know, a thousand dollars, you're gonna earn something like twenty six thousand points back.
Now that twenty six thousand points is probably, you know, let's It's not
thousand points might be worth like, you know, a hundred and thirty dollars.
So it's not that crazy, but a hundred and thirty dollars on a thousand dollar booking is thirteen percent off.
I think you've gotta factor in that when you're spending cash on a lot of these things, by the way, that's a hundred and thirty back.
That doesn't factor that there's often like a Hilton card linked offer, spend a thousand, get a hundred dollars back.
Or Capital One shopping often has Hilton at like twenty percent off.
So let's say I'm gonna book this $1,000 Hilton's Day.
Let's say I find a Capital One shopping offer for 10% back.
So I get a hundred back.
Let's say I find the Amex offer for like a hundred off a thousand plus on Hilton.
I'm getting a hundred back and I'm getting 130 in points.
So now I'm getting $330 back.
