And they create memories for the players who took part in it that last a lifetime because it is so very special.
And the All Black players who are coming back from this four-test series will remember that first test.
They'll remember the heartache of the other matches, but they'll remember that they went to South Africa and they beat the Springboks on their own pitch in the first of a four-match series.
