So where this work has taken me now in my career is Melbourne Medical School, the Melbourne Medical Museum asked me to put together a draft for a course that trains doctors in how to acknowledge
the origins of their medicines that they prescribe to patients and so there's a big problem in australia with a lack of engagement by indigenous peoples because they don't trust the western health system and so this would allow for doctors to acknowledge to their indigenous patients this medicine came from your people and it rebuilds that trust and it enables the indigenous people to feel that sense of respect and trust and engage the western health system
