Yes, that's what it looks like.
It was an injury that he had last year.
He was able to get some treatments that helped it, but he can only get those treatments periodically.
And, you know, playing through a bunch of pain and, you know, give him a lot of credit for doing that because there was times where it was really uncomfortable for him.
But and then as the season went on, you know, it's
He felt that he could play through it, and it just got to be just too much.
He was just plain compromised out there.
And, you know, he's never out of position.
He made good plays, but he just, you know, mostly the puck battles, you know, he didn't have his strength.
And...
We felt for him and he was the one who made the decision that it was best to get the surgery just because it didn't look like it was going to get better.
And we felt that he was playing through a lot of pain going into the Olympic break.
And then when he came back from the Olympic break, he felt that that time off would be really beneficial.
And it really didn't make that much improvement.
So that's when it was considered about surgery.

ask or saying hopefully there'll be a day when he can cheer for the Oilers and Connor at the same time so I guess that time has come and I think Connor is going to add a lot to our team you know we've been wanting better defensive game from our team and that is exactly what Connor is a defensive defenseman yes he can move the puck but his biggest attribute is being able to defend
matched
Yeah, they defend really well, and their goaltending may be disappointing at times this season, but they don't give up very much for shots or chances against, so it's really important that we keep our game simple and getting pucks to the net and trying to find those second opportunities.
