And then the result is expected at six o'clock this morning.
And he's not there.
There's no sign of Nigel Farage.
Now he says the police had said to him there was a chance the whole thing could get disrupted.
He said he didn't want to be on stage with people he described as quote, nobodies.
In other words,
the various independent candidates, not least the guy with the bin on his head, Count Binface, um, who was uh on the ticket alongside thirty odd other contenders.
So yeah, he didn't turn up for the results.
There was used to be a speech that he decided against.
He was gonna do some interviews, uh uh including one with me, and he decided not to bother with any of that.
And we've not seen it we've not seen him.
We he did a little thing in the middle of the night before the election uh result, uh talking
But uh since then.
He's vanished.
Yeah, I think there is a bit of of that.
And and actually what's interesting, a guy called Tim Montgomery, who you, Henry and Adam are familiar with and newscasters may well be the founder of Conservative Home, longstanding conservative activist who deflected to reform a couple of years ago and is a supporter of reform and of Nigel Farage.
He was on Radio Four at lunchtime on the World at One, making an argument.
He thinks Nigel Farage is a brilliant politician and brings many assets
To politics and to reform, but he reckons that Mr.
Farage is too absorbed by what he said was a sort of sense of grievance at the moment, a sense of negativity, and that the best face, as he sees of Nigel Farage, is a more positive and upbeat one.
