uh there's so many guns well there is one gun but we've already set the there's non-stop guns um but there yeah there's uh also like going back to my relationship with these books like i was reading these books they were coming out like literally as i was graduating college and moving to new york and kind of having a complete mental health crisis and losing my mind which i which i read about in the uh afterward of when the wolf comes home

So Callahan's journey in particular was like very resonant for me.

And I like kept coming back to it again and again and again when I was when I was going through that period.

So like I feel this additional sort of like fondness or connection or pathos to Callahan.

But there's also like Neil was saying, like there's there's a.

Like you both were saying, really, there's like a just a beautifully matter of fact depiction of bisexuality.

And it's just kind of it is what it is.

And he he's not apologetic for it.

He's not preaching about it.

Pun intended.

There's but there's also an element to Father Callahan as a character.

that is emblematic of a lot of this book and the subsequent books.

And it almost sounds like a criticism, but it's actually like so refreshing too.

And I think it's actually like a big asset to why this epic works so well, which is that

it could have been so easy for, uh, uh, for the, the book to kind of dance around it and kind of like tease it.

But like, as soon as Callahan is introduced, it's like, hi, I'm father Callahan from Salem's lot from Maine.

And I dealt with vampires and it's like, okay, great.

Like we don't have to fucking worry about it.
