Along with my stalwart tet, Chris Panettiere and Nat Cassidy, we're taking Stephen King's magnum opus one at a time, making plenty of stops for connected stories. But now we're back on the beam proper, at the edge of N-World, in the shadow of Thunderclap. We're talking about Wolves of the Calla. It's a novel full of decency, heroism, small-town politics and country charm. We meet unexpected old friends and new threats, and we start asking some very confrontational questions about the nature of reality and fiction in these stories.
You'll have to wait to see what Chris makes of it. But along the way, we do try our very best not to make too many jokes about boobs, despite just how much King's novel pushes them, figuratively speaking, in our faces. Don't blame us. I'm working on my next book, which I feel like I've been working on since before we started this this podcast journey. Maybe it happened. But yeah, I'm working on my next book. which comes out hopefully next year if I can get it done in time. And I just turned in two short stories for some upcoming anthologies, which is the two of four short stories that I have due this year. One of them is already done, so three short stories are in the bank. Three new short stories coming out in anthologies in the imminent year or something like that. And then one more I got to write. That's what I'm working on.
How is I Know A Place going? This is nuts. Stephen King introduced Collection of Stories. Is it doing well?
According to Alan, it's still selling well. I have limited insight into it because for some reason, the only book scan I have, I'm not going to bother with inside baseball stuff. I can't see the numbers for some reason. But Alan says it's doing well.
