Now, what I caution them, if they don't, and they either don't get to the gold medal game, and they have an opportunity to win bronze, I think that's one of my biggest regrets was in 1998, after we lost that heartbreaking shootout to the Czechs,

you know we went into that finland game for the bronze and just we were defeated we were kind of deer in a headlight we played the next day uh we hadn't fully recovered you know from a mindset perspective and and really laid an egg and it would have been nice to have uh finished my career and had two golds and a bronze as i look back on it but uh you know things happened for a reason and it was a valuable learning lesson and uh used that opportunity to uh

kind of push me forward in other areas and prepare properly for 2002 and four years from now.

Skill, talent, was more of a complete player, I think, than most people gave him credit for.

And to your point about toughness, you want to talk about...

taking it to the net and, and, uh, going into the hard areas and the ice and slot area in front of the net, uh, driving wide on defensemen like Robin Regeer and players of that nature.

Um, you know, he paid a price for it, obviously being a smaller guy, but, uh,

You know, I think when you see teammates like him go into the hole as hard as he did trying to score goals and help your team win, you appreciate him and you love playing with players like that.

They're a lock.

If you're betting, don't trust Bob.
