The key thing is he's got to be as close to healthy as he can be.
I mean, it's possible that an offseason and maybe an extended offseason, if you know what I mean, will do him some good.
But he's got to wait as long as he can to the point where he then can have enough at bat so that he is ready for October.
If I were a Yankee fan, that's the way I would look at it.
Well, their pitching's been amazing.
I mean, that's really what has led them on this 10-game winning streak, and so it's been really consistent.
It'll be interesting to see how much they miss Ranger Suarez now that he's going to start out the second half on the injured list, because he was obviously good enough to make the All-Star team, but Sonny Gray's been great.
Some of their young dudes have done an awesome job as well, and they've got a bona fide borderline Hall of Fame closer in Aroldis Chapman to slam the door shut there at the end, so
As long as they can do that, whatever this offense has been, and we're talking about one of the worst home offenses in Red Sox history, which is really amazing because that is truly one of the great home field advantages is playing in that park.
And they have just been god-awful for the most part.
So if they're able to turn that around, I don't know if and when Roman Anthony is coming back.
But they're going to be in this thing as well.
