Well, now the offense has done enough

While this pitching staff has been supreme for the most part.

I mean, Sonny Gray is going to finish top three in the Cy Young if he continues on at this rate.

Ranger Suarez is obviously banged up right now.

But he had an all-star first half.

You've got one of the best closers in the game.

And they're getting production from their young guys.

So they're getting enough offense.

And all of a sudden, they have gone from the easy seller to, in my opinion, easy buyer by August 3rd.

Disappointing.

If we're to rank the most disappointing teams in baseball, I would say probably the Mets are one just because, well, when you pay that much money and you're nowhere close to even a wildcard berth, then it's an embarrassment.

I would say that the Mariners are probably second in that category.

I think the Mariners are second.

And then I would put the Blue Jays and Tigers battling it out for third.

I just, you know, the Tigers have seemed to right the ship, certainly since the beginning of June.

But that just shows you how awful they were because they're not holding a playoff spot.

But the Jays, it's... I mean, I don't know, guys.

We just did our draft trade episode at John Boy Media, and I had the Jays buying...

trying to get some offensive help, no major pieces, but enough that hopefully they can get some guys back.

But I really think that they miss Bobachet's consistency gap to gap, put the ball in play more than they probably anticipated is my guess.
