And so there are people that are concerned about the economy and justifiably should be, but the reality is that
Republicans elected Donald Trump in 2024 primarily to not only shut down the border, which he has largely accomplished, at least for now, but to get the people who are in the country illegally out and to stop the taxpayer handouts to them, to stop things like in-state tuition subsidies and the like.
And
Until that goal is accomplished, I think there's still work to be done.
And the way to get people excited about the Trump administration and the Republican Party is to deliver results.
I think we need it because, frankly, this is an issue where you have these foreign enclaves that don't respect the United States Constitution, that don't respect any of our values, that are trying to literally purchase large swaths of land and
and institute their own legal system, one that's hostile to Western civilization within our own borders.
And I don't know how that is classified as anything but a hostile takeover of the United States territory.
And so I think it's very important to not only put this on the ballot, but to then pursue a comprehensive policy in the Texas legislature.
And hopefully once we get momentum federally,
to make sure that these kinds of land purchases to create Sharia communities cannot happen in the state of Texas.
I'm working pretty closely with a lot of state legislators to try and make sure that we have policy ready to go.
A lot of people may not know this, but the Texas legislature only meets every two years.
And so the next opportunity, unless there is a special session called, is going to start in January of 2027.
And so we have to have all of our ducks in a row from a policy perspective.
We need voters to vote for this proposition on the GOP primary ballot to give us the impetus and the momentum to be able to pass this policy quickly and not let the clock run out.
Because, again, the Texas legislature only meets for five months every two years.
And so that means there's a very limited amount of time for us to get this done.
It's something that every person I talk to asks me about and wants to talk about.
I would say it's probably the number one issue for the grassroots specifically.
