Uh which is riddled with graffiti and and and quite recently became riddled with graffiti.
Um to an extreme degree, just to prove to the mayor and TFL that, you know, it is actually possible to remove graffiti.
You don't just have to sit on your hands and pretend it's impossible.
Possible to wipe off.
And the theory goes that the mayor of London really actually does want to upgrade the Bakerloo line and he wants money from central government to do so.
But unless it's really grotty.
Politicians aren't going to sign off the funding.
So my conspiracy theory is the mayor was deliberately letting the Bakerloo line degrade, look as shabby as possible, run itself down, um, and not to not put a particular amount of effort into making it sort of serviceable, so that he can get some more money from central government to do the Bakerloo line extension and get the new rolling stock.
Now that is one that is the next level.
That's you know you know the meme where the sort of the brain expands in each panel.
Like that is that is the next that is the you know, you've got you've got the bespoke and then the yeah, it's uh no that that's the galaxy brain take.
I mean th the problem with it is that you can Occam's razor it really, really easily, which is politicians aren't competent That's true of all conspiracy theories.
Wherever there's conspiracy it's more likely to be cock up or or just sort of institutional grinding, just sort of the You shouldn't let that stop us though, you know?
Well the the crazy thing is that's maybe not the craziest idea because the head of TFL when when I with um looking for growth did sort of the the um scrubbing it off, um the head of TFL appeared before a committee of the London Assembly um and they were asked about this and like sort of why was it all in graffiti?
And he said there had been some um he'd seen some evidence that it was the people cleaning the graffiti off.
That had sprayed it on in order to wipe it off on video.
He accused me and my friends of spraying the graffiti on so that we could make a viral video after it.
No.
That's amazing.
Well no, but here's the thing.
