And I would say, honestly, you know, on balance, there's obviously pros and cons of social media.

But they're a net benefit to me personally, and I think they've been a net benefit to my daughter and her generation.

Um, kids are never bored now because of it.

And I know there's some curmudgeons who think that's a bad thing and you need to use imagination and maybe a bit of boredom can be useful in life.

Uh, I think that's quite a hard sell to kids, to be honest with you, forces them to be bored when they don't need to be.

But, you know, as this one of these wonderful kids said on

the BBC on on Monday morning, you know, this is my

window to the world.

This is how I connect with my friends and family.

It's just how we do things now.

You can't put the genie back in the bowl or turn the clocks back.

So I don't think social media generally has been a bad thing.

I think it's actually made kids of my daughter's age

For one, which means they're going to be able to run rings around these legislators.

Um, but also actually quite cynical about

the internet.

It's the old people who fall for the internet scams.

That's right, true.
