So, um, in, there were some 2020, uh, I think this was implemented, uh, as I see this and Jacob says in 2012, and the numbers were increased in 2022.
But, uh, as of 2012, there was one fixed rate for players aged nine to 11.
They went from one Academy to another.
And then there was a much higher rate for players aged 12 to 16 as they move.
So again, this goes back in 2012.
The original rate for a transfer of a nine-year-old from one pro academy in England to another was about 3,000 pounds.
That has increased significantly.
I see some stuff here that says at U11, it's around a 400% increase in that amount.
But when you talk about a kid 12 to 16, you're looking at somewhere between 13,000 pounds to 40,000 pounds per year that that player was in an academy.
Right.
Into another year.
And then there's also some contingencies attached if the player ultimately makes it to the first team or plays in the Premier League, actually.
So what's interesting about this is that through the EPPP, the pro clubs
in england are compensating other academies in england for domestic transfers that are not covered by international so you have the amount invested by the club at the starting point you have fifa who introduces solidarity and training compensation for international transfers of players from one country another and then you have a variety of uh domestic compensation
that is set by the clubs or the FAs or whoever it is in each of these countries.
The EPPP being the most detailed and probably formulaic of that.
So also looking here and it seems that there is some amount of
Fixed domestic or agreed upon domestic compensation also in Germany, in Spain, in France as well.
And I look here and it says it's a little bit more loosey-goosey in that, but that there has been acknowledgement that they need to pay to incentivize development that is free.
By the way, Doug, just to jump on that, the pro structure where this amount of money is trading hands for kids 9 to 16 also has some other effects that people might not want so much.
