And so it appears that there are a variety of different ways of handling that depending on how it's done.
We found one in England
which was set up by the Premier League and the elite player performance plan.
And so this applies to academies in England and how they manage payments of domestic transfers.
So this would be from an English club to another English club.
Because these would not be triggered by solidarity.
So these clubs have collectively worked out a way to say, we're going to also fund each other as there is movement of players from our academies internally so that a club, and typically you can imagine most of that movement is probably a player in a lower level or a smaller club who is now being signed by a club and recognize we need to incentivize that club
to hopefully be able to develop more of these players that can move up.
So they've done that through this thing called the EPPP.
And so in England, you have levels of categories in your academies.
Category one academy is the highest level academy based on standards that they do.
And they changed when they implemented the EPPP.
And I'm not sure exactly when that date was.
Maybe Jacob, you can find that.
They did a couple of things to change the way recruitment and therefore transfer happened within England.
Number one was they abolished the 90-minute rule, which prohibited previously clubs from signing people from more than 90 minutes away under the age of 18.
So that was abolished by PPP.
And then they introduced fixed compensation when a player moves between academies from under 9 to under 16.
Some of that is based on the categorization of the club.
And some of that is based upon the years that a player spent in a club.
