And that goes back to what is the exposure and involvement of the kids in the game at younger and younger ages, how widespread is the game for them to be a part of.
So I have some data here on population and registered age.

So now, as you can imagine, different countries are going to have very different accuracy or even ability to to collect these numbers.
One of the most, and this is not going to surprise you either, one of the most data rich is the Germans.

They said registered players around 8 million, 2.4 million were active.
I'm not sure what the distinction is between registered and active, but that's about 28 to 30 people per 1,000.
