And and what the prosecution asked the jury to do in the trial was to say, look at all these pings on the phone tower.

You can approximate where Erin Paterson was.

And the way that they sold the story was that it was plausible that on these dates

Um shortly after the I naturalist posts were made.

That Erin Patterson traveled to the areas where the deathcap mushrooms were said to be growing.

Now the defense today said that this was an example of the prosecution turning nothing into something because they said it wasn't concrete evidence.

The prosecution response was that this was explained during the trial.

And and you and I remember this too.

Um the expert um Matthew Sorrell

repeatedly told the jury that

There is a limit to what this evidence can show.

And and and what the prosecution said today through um another prosecution barrister, Jeremy McWilliams, was that the phone tower data provided context.

Uh and he said this evidence was part of a collection of evidence and when taken together with all of those other things,

It demonstrated that Patterson had the opportunity to source Deathcat mushrooms at a time close to the lunch.

Yeah, this is a complex one to explain, and I'll try my best to do it.
