There may have been several times in the Roman Empire's history where people said it wasn't going to matched

We America's decline has been predicted many times before, but at some point the lesson of history suggests that it will happen. matched

Looking back at D Day again, eighty two years ago, as we say, that's it's it showed the America's ability to react and react strongly to to threats, to challenges that it faced, as it has done throughout its history. matched

Many people though would say that it's not the same country it was back then, with the same capacity and the same capacity for unity that it was that however you want to look at it, whether it's culturally, whether it's economically, whether it's whatever, it's changed and it wouldn't be able to do the same thing again. matched

With with the Second World War with Japan and Germany, the US in some ways there had a an enemy to to sort of unite against. matched

Do you think the US again needs an enemy to be strong? matched

I m I mean, one could look at what's going on in Iran, although th obviously that's just on a much lesser scale. matched

George, you wrote in your book about these two these two cycles, the eighty year cycle and the fifty year cycle coming together in this current moment and something new emerging out the other side, as you were suggesting there. matched

You were sort of you forecast that this was going to come to a head around now, around the late twenty twenties in particular. matched

Are you getting any more of an indication what the car might now look like? matched

What is different about this particular moment is interesting is that, you know, the US sort of emerged as the world's leading power matched

after the first world war, maybe after the second world war, depending on how you want to look at it. matched
