I suppose the question for Iran in particular, as well as the rest of us as well then, is where is the perfect intersection between what Trump can accept and what they want?
And does that actually exist?
Because it's all good and well for them to want to try and get him into an agreement before, in good time before the midterms, but what could that actually be that he could accept and not shoot himself in the foot anyway?
Well, I mean, from Iran's perspective, I suppose there's two aspects to this.
We see increasing pressure in the U.S.
from particularly more right-wing quarters for the U.S.
to arm the Iranian people in some variety.
Question, obviously, how that would happen, but...
there are suggestions that that could be done.
And at the same time, there's suggestions, as you sort of say there, George, you know, America could go in, what it hasn't done yet is hit critical infrastructure, power plants, bridges, desalination plants.
And obviously those two things could work in tandem.
I mean, for Iran, for the IRGC, could they survive that?
