And I can tell you the way they divided it is the recorder is going to handle voter registration, signature verification and early in-person voting.

And then the board of supervisors is going to handle Election Day voting, tabulation of votes and emergency voting operations.

So personally, I don't love the idea that Maricopa County Board of Supervisors is now responsible for the tabulation.

Yeah, they're the ref that gets to call it.

So that's why I don't love it.

I mean, it's being touted as a win because he got $20 million back and he has a lot more authority than zero.

But, you know, I don't trust the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors, and I'm not sure that... The saving grace to all of this is I think they're incompetent enough to possibly accidentally do it correctly, if that makes sense.

So he's going to handle voter registration, signature verification, so that's all the mail-in votes.

It's going to be his responsibility to ensure that the mail-in ballots are legitimate ballots, and early in-person voting, so everything before Election Day.

And then everything Election Day and after is the board.

Yeah, I mean the machines, I mean all of it.

The tabulation of votes, that authority is with the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors.

Yeah, it is.

Well, my guess is he wanted some authority before the election.

I mean, this is really his first election as the recorder.

And at least for now, now he has something he can do and he can have a big role in the mail-in ballots, which, as you know, the mail-in ballots in Arizona are a very big deal.

So he does have that going for him.

he probably wanted to be able to do something, you know, he's like, Hey, I got elected to try to secure elections.
