They would have a really hard time campaigning on the fact that, you know, I want to allow rapists to go free, although we're starting to kind of see that happen, which is bizarre.
But that's a very difficult position to take in a campaign.
So they can't actually do that.
So instead, they just undermine it.
And quite honestly, that's easier.
It's easier to just say, hey, I'm going to uphold the laws than, oh, by the way, you should all hate them and you should all hate the people who follow them.
That's easier than actually following the process and getting something done.
But I think you nailed it when you were talking about Fort Sumter and the secession issue, because that is the road that we're on.
I'm not in any way saying we're heading towards civil war or secession or whatever.
But if you have all of these states declaring we're not going to follow federal law,
That's effectively, they're effectively saying, you know, I'm taking it to an extreme to make the point, but they're effectively saying we don't want to agree with the union at its essence.
What the law is, is a group of rules.
It's a collection of rules that we as a society have agreed upon.
This is how we want to live.
These are the rules to live in this society.
And when you have a state saying, okay, well, we don't want to live in that society.
We don't want to do that.
Um,
You know, it's heading down that road.
Yeah, well, I think that's what they're going for.
