And so I already knew that, which I'm kind of amazed I had that level of knowledge about how to handle this.

And so he go I said, Well, I need Tommy Kramer.

Okay, the quarterback, Tommy Kramer's over there already pulling his tie on.

And somebody else, oh, he's over there.

And uh and then I I said, I need you 'cause he'd had two interceptions.

And so I interviewed him.

He's in the book.

I've gotten in touch with him since.

Thanked him, sent him a copy of the book.

I mean, what a gem of a human being.

uh to c walk over and see the situation.

Uh and uh and worked out.

Got out of there, wrote my story, um, took a deep breath and my colleagues were like, Yeah, way to go.

And off I was off and running.

So that was as an intern.

And then yeah, then I I come back in April of eighty one.

They did offer me a job.

I didn't know they would.

I sent fifty letters.

Um, pulled it all nighter typing uh letters.
