Sure, absolutely.

I think the first thing that job seekers need to keep in mind is that virtual is very much here to stay.

So make sure that you are comfortable in a virtual setting, make sure that you have a good setup, make sure that you have good light, make sure you have good connection.

Those are kind of the basics, the technical components to making sure that you feel really confident when you're actually in these interview conversations or when you're having connections or relationship conversations with folks that you might be meeting.

The second thing that you want to do is make sure you actually have a virtual presence.

So because everything has sort of flipped to virtual and right now I think folks are kind of settling in a hybrid mode, trying to figure out what is best for in-person and what is best for virtual.

You want to make sure that you're not missing out on one of those components.

So having a strong virtual brand and presence, making sure that you have a profile that really speaks to who you are, what you contribute and what your strengths are is going to be super important to your overall narrative and how you show up with employers.

Yeah, I think it totally depends on the industry.

And I know that's not super helpful for all the people that are on the line at the moment because you're wondering, does it apply to mine?

This is where you need to do a little bit of research, right?

So let's actually just take Catherine's industry.

So if you're going into journalism, there are a lot of people that start working in journalism without a master's degree.

And there are some that choose to go back and get their master's in journalism.

Now, if you went straight through from undergrad to get your master's in journalism, I would argue, and Catherine can correct me later, you are still going to be considered entry level.

So the fact that you have your master's degree is great and fine, but you're going up against other folks that may have already had two years of experience in the field.

And that experience is going to carry a lot of weight within journalism where everything is experiential.

That being said, whether or not you have a master's degree and where that puts you, it might not actually advance you beyond somebody that has had a little bit of work experience.

Now, there are other industries.

We could actually look at my previous one working in higher education.
