And I'll give an example of a case that I was involved in, originally titled HW 2023, a decision of Haran Judge Reardon in East London.

What had happened there was that there'd been an order for transfer of various properties.

Wife had given an undertaking that she wouldn't remortgage those properties, which were in her sole name, pending transfer.

So, what does she do?

She breaches the undertaking, remortgages them, disappears off with that money, or the money is dissipated.

Another of the properties she's ordered to transfer, she just stops paying the mortgage and hands the keys back to the mortgage company.

And the mortgage company is then entitled under its powers given to it by the mortgage, then to sell the property, which of course it does at an undervalue.

Ultimately gets are worth substantially less because of these actions.
