Many years ago, they started something called the Sugar Grove Research Station, at the time called the Sugar Grove U.S.
Naval Radio Station.
This was in 1959.
When the Navy started building radio,
what was going to be the world's largest radio antenna.
It was called the Big Ear, where they were going to listen in and intercept, you know, Russian intel.
They never finished the Big Ear because they were worried it was not structurally sound.
So rather than
Moving on to the medium ear, I guess they didn't think it sounded cool enough.
They just scrapped it all together.
But they still have a station at Sugar Grove.
And the NSA is also there.
So I'm sure it's all on the up and up as far as who and what they're listening to.
Wow.
I mean, considering what Kim Basinger paid for Brazelton, Georgia in the 80s or 90s.
How much was it?
