And then Democrats spent the entire 24 election talking about choice and abortion or democracy.
They weren't talking to those men about things that they cared about.
Keep in mind, they're not 50 year old men like me.
They were 27 year old men who are gaming, who are watching YouTube, who think this conspiracy or that.
And not all of them, Don, but enough of them to swing the electorate enough to where they were more susceptible
to that crazy message than me and you who are like, oh, no, that's bullshit.
There's no way you should believe that young man.
Well, that's what the problem is, is they were young men and majority young men and had only been in this country one generation, maybe two.
So they're still trying to figure out who and what party is my party, who and what people do I really trust?
This Donald Trump seems like something different than all the rest of these folks.
He may be a little crazy.
We heard this all the time, but at least he's different and he's outside of the system that keeps screwing me and my family.
That's where I think it happened.
It's a great question.
And the reason it is, is because folks don't talk enough about this.
I wrote a whole piece about this, about the history in the black church, in the black community of handing down this lineage of the struggle and the people that have literally sacrificed their lives for the right for folks to vote, the right for folks to protest.
That kind of lineage and history and the way it's taught is not taught to Latinos.
And in most places, like in South Texas, they have no idea.
In places like New York and LA, where there is this culture where you see the culture of the black community and the solidarity of the black church and the solidarity of the way you learn from that.
So you have the Chicano movement in LA, you have the Puerto Rican movement in New York that is side by side with the black community because they were raised with them.
