They were on to something because everybody told me that their premiums, whether they were on the ACA, if they had a collective bargaining unit with their union, all of their increases in salaries were going towards their premiums for their health care.

Beer, ground beef, coffee, regular things where we were having these conversations, which was the real thing that made them angry.

Most of these men, most of these Latino men in Jersey are working construction jobs.
They're working as day laborers.
Some of them have jobs.
Other jobs, but we are normally not saying all Mexicans or all Latinos or day laborers or construction workers, but a giant portion of our electorate is one in four Latinos in America are connected to the housing industry at some level.
And so there's an anxiety where they just want to go to work and pay their taxes.
And yes, they pay taxes and they're being punished by an administration who's just trying to act tough.
Are Democrats winning back young men and Latino men?
Let's just say that they're fluid and these young men are willing and open for somebody to talk to them about what they really care about.
There's a real epidemic after COVID with young men.
I've been trying to speak to this on my podcast.
You know, I'm one of the few men in political consulting.
I never been to college.
I was a teenage father and I got a criminal record from a long time ago.
I've lived a real life, Don, and that makes me more connected to these young men who are trying to figure out their lives.
And I try to talk to a lot of them and say, look,
You don't have to be perfect.
