And Marshall and Lately, you know this as well as anyone covering sports.
You want to be in a position where you make the coach have to make decisions to play you because how well you're playing.
If you want minutes, the best way of getting minutes as an NBA player or in any sport for that matter as far as just activity,
You know, make the head coach and the front office say, wow, you know what, we need to find a spot.
In baseball, if a guy can hit, we need to find a place in the lineup for him.
And the same thing happens in basketball.
If he starts developing the way they hope, because he does have skill and he does have length, and if he gets to the point where you have to say, listen, he's played himself into the rotation.
And so because of that, then he is earning minutes.
And right now he's probably not there yet as far as the rotation when they go to camp.
But this is why you have summer league.
And again, this is, as you mentioned, Marshall, this really is his rookie year.
Last year was just a handful of games in the G League, two games, and then he had surgery and that was it.
Yeah, you know what, that's an excellent point.
And I'm going to tell you what I've heard from the past, from different players and coaches who have come in in a very similar situation, is that if you are Bryson, in this case Bryson Graham, if you're Tiago Splitter,
You can't think about that.
You have to think about, I've got this player now.
He's under my umbrella, which in the past is the past.
You want to develop this player, regardless of who drafted him, who has coached him.
You've got this player now.
And as far as the staff is concerned, but the player himself, it's up to him and the staff to do their very best for him to hit that point where he can become an everyday NBA rotational player.
