And the reason that people don't like that is there's heaps of there's a lot more there, you know, like there's there's a whole other can of worms to open with the concept of being an influencer.
Um but I think in a very practical way, just to like to answer
the most practically I uh that I could
I kind of call it like it is the Tony Soprano, the Don Draper effect, or whatever you want to call it, which is if you have an unlikable character, I find the trick is to make them very good at what they do.
I think that it's really you can still go along for that ride if you're if you're with a an awful person, if they're really skilled and like competent and technically like driving the story.
And and they do things that you think, Oh, I never thought of that because they're like skilled, you'll ride with them really far.
That's every character like that is just has their like skill that that
Um I mean, uh I don't know if you're referencing house, but house is the perfect example.
House is exactly how I was thinking of, yeah.
Yeah, as humans we do
We do love to see people like Excel.
We just love to see characters who are really, really good at something.
And when you combine that with someone who is in a moral gray area or just a straight up like bad, bad person in at the beginning of the story or they end the story, whatever journey they take, if they are competent, it is like the some of the best characters are that type of.
Another thing that I wanted to do with Poppy too is is I I and speaking of kind of the misogyny and fashion, it was also kind of important to me that that as a as a woman uh character, uh that to to like do that because that's very rare in women characters.
That's just such like a a male coded uh character type, the Don Draper, the Tony Soprano.
you know, the Walter White, the House, um, the like really morally great person who's really good at what they do.
Very rarely uh do you see that in female characters.
So I really wanted uh that to be like Poppy to be a good like example of that.
