Hello, Chuck. Welcome back to the show, my friend. How have you been?
I have been wonderful and it is an honor to be here. Um it's been way too long and uh we did it was so nice we did have one run in at Stoker Con in San Diego, right?

Yeah, I remember you you you you came across the car park to a bar wearing the most fabulous suit and I didn't realise how tall you were until I saw you in the flesh.
What a compliment. Wow. Okay. Yes. This this tall, handsome figure strolling across the parking lot, sparkling with sequins. Um I mean, uh one can only hope that in their lifetime they aspire to that kind of interest. So it is it is truly an honor. Um, but that was really fun. And it was um, I don't know, I'm just like, I don't wanna you know, I don't need to start by heaping on too many compliments, but gosh, it's like I just love what you've done with this podcast and everything to think that it's been so many years since I've been here is like you've done something really incredible. Like
I'm just blown away. Well, thank you very much. That's that's very kind of you to say. I appreciate it. Three years since we last spoke, almost exactly to the to the week, three years, because you came on for Camp Damascus. Yes. But since then, I've been really pleased to see how you've doubled down on your brand of eccentric horror. Um and I miss speaking to you for the last two books and I haven't yet read Lucky Day, but I must tell you, as an aside, I really loved Bury Your Gaze.
Oh, thank you so much. Thank you. Yeah. I mean, we have both been on journeys, right? We have both uh that's why maybe that's why it feels so like in my soul, I uh I am just like feeling such a wonderful, like full circle moment being here with you. Cause I guess it just goes to show that if you really dive into something that you truly love, if it is resonating. with this timeline around us, like there are fruits to be found from that. There is something really beautiful that can grow out of that kind of kind of passion. And I just I don't know, I see it and then we meet back up. It just it's wonderful.
Indeed. And are you feeling the passion for the the mainstream horror novels as as opposed to the tinglers? Does it feel like something that is satisfying you?
Oh yeah. Externally, the passion from from the the world. Uh definitely. I mean everyone performs better than the last.
