I I I really appreciate what you're saying there because I had a very similar experience.

Um I had a family member uh pass away pretty recently.

Um and um they fell and they were in a they were in a a coma.

And so uh the doctors were like, uh this person probably is not aware, you know, but when someone is in this state, you know, and it was like a life support situation.

It was like, okay, we have a couple of months for this.

And so I knew the hospital that they were at and I knew that their favorite uh musical artist.

Was the Beach Boys.

And so I set up my uh my iPhone, my iPod, um, with with two sets of headphones.

And I would go to the hospital uh once a week while they were in this coma and sit with them and put them on their ears and listen to the beach boys with them and just cry.

And uh I remember going through that and thinking.

Everyone has told me that they're not hearing this.

So, like, why am I doing this?

Like, why am I here?

What is what is this even about?

And I kind of came to the conclusion that like death and grief is not just about the person.

And these rituals that we carry out are just as much for us as it is for them.

And that's really

So if the ritual is like writing, if it's making a post, if the ritual is sitting and putting on these headphones every week, um, it doesn't matter if it's just for us.
