I I mean I do know that this is probably
Probably the most violent of uh of my horror novels.
I mean Lucky Day is pretty pretty extreme, but um but this is actually this is probably more I think maybe Lucky Day is technically more extreme, but it's a little more um distant.
Uh whereas this is like very like close up and intimate and and there's all this violence.
But I hadn't considered that you're right, the tone of this
i is more juxtaposed.
It is the breezy parts are breezier and the extreme parts are more extreme.
Um that I do think it was a little planned.
I mean the level I as a horror author, I know that we all like we we want horror in our stories, of course, but I I don't really plan like how extreme it's going to be.
It it's all like where what serves the story, right?
Like I'm not going to say
Say, oh, I need to tone that back so mainstream buckaros will like it or something, or oh, I need to add a bunch more so that like the real gore helms will love it.
Um, it's all like what serves the story.
This one in particular kind of has to be served by that violence because it is a story of juxtaposition itself.
Um, it's a two-hander, which is, you know, basically essentially two main characters.
Characters in a tight space, sharing a lot of time and a lot of dialogue and a lot of like interactions.
And it's all about these how these two characters interact.
And while both characters show a lot of similarities, they are also opposites in a couple of ways.
And I think that breeziness is there.
Like Poppy is trying to create.
