What does that mean in terms of your business?
Well, that's the fear, isn't it, that a lot of people have.
We had in the Irish Times this morning, we had a story about a survey where 45% of those employees who were surveyed said they're fearful that they're going to lose their job or their job is going to change in a really substantial way.
That's a big fear that a lot of employees have.
And also we're seeing that a lot of people coming out of college, graduates, are afraid that there simply won't be roles, the type of traditional roles.
We might bring Roger in on this in a minute.
The type of traditional roles that might have been there in professional services or even in software, coding, et cetera, just won't be there now.
Sure.
Okay.
Well, that's probably good to hear.
Roger, this is an opportunity to bring you in.
Maybe two elements to this question.
On the one hand, how is EY implementing AI in its own business?
So what are you doing and how much are you spending and how is it impacting on roles and graduates and all of that?
But also you're out there investing, you're out there,
advising clients here at the Coalface with clients across a number of sectors, and they're trying to figure out their strategy around AI.
So what are you telling them or what are you hearing from them?
Just on the graduate point, how many graduates would you take in this year?
But if you look out five or 10 years, do you think EY will have the same number of people as EY are and as it has now?
Or might it be lower because of the efficiencies maybe that AI brings and all of the benefits it might bring?
