And some of that has been run down over the last few months.

And you've got to replenish anyway because I think the fuel has a certain lifespan.

You've got to keep moving it on.

Now, the government has a decision to make in the next few weeks, doesn't it?

Because the fuel supports that it put in place following protests on O'Connell Street and elsewhere are due to run out at the end of July.

So the government has to now decide whether it extends or whether it pulls them or, I don't know, does something, some other type of scheme, maybe as an intermediate measure.

Mind you, a 60-day ceasefire to allow breeding space for the negotiations, if they last a full 60 days, I mean, that takes us into August.

I know we're awash with cash, but how does this affect the budget arithmetic?

Because when you think about it, the budget is due in October.

So let's say they extend them in some way, shape or form till the end of August as a holding measure.

You know, the budget sums have to be done around that time, don't they?

So that's a hit.

And there's every chance as well, isn't there, in these negotiations, if they go on for the full 60 days, there will be ebbs and flows.
