Like Tommy set aside so many aspects of his own ambition and

to help me with mine and that's often the case whenever there's somebody with a load of talent or a big a big goal in their relationship and I always looked forward to trying to return that favour post my career and now poor Tommy's the person that's helping me and holding the bucket whenever I'm really sick post chemo but I feel so fortunate to have to have him and yeah so you so you give up a lot and the people around you give up a lot to pursue that kind of a career yeah

They definitely do.

Look, it's like anything in life.

I think whenever you find a partner who loves you and you love, you're willing to lift each other.

And quite often somebody sacrifices something so that you can pursue your goals.

We never had a holiday because Tommy gave up all his annual leave to be on camp with me and to help me.

He thankfully worked for a startup initially called Runa that...

It was quite handy that it was a running type thing that he could work from abroad.

So he would tap in.

But Tommy was an ambitious athlete himself.

He grew up in athletics much earlier than me.

His family are big in the club in Dunshacklin, I see.

And like his dad was a runner.

So Tommy and his sister Shauna spent their infant years.

When I was out on a camogie field, they were running around barefoot doing training sessions.

And there's so many seasons that Tommy didn't race.

probably in his prime because he was helping me and he put me first so I and I always tried to discourage him from doing that but it's what he wanted to do and he said he probably he's probably told me throughout the past that like he's like oh like my greatest achievement is helping you achieve your highest level in your sport I'll get emotional thinking about it and you know whenever you find somebody like that in life sometimes I think I lucked out too much I lucked out with my partner with all of my beautiful friends

Maybe it was due to a bit of bad luck, unfortunately.
