We are miles off.
We are miles off.
So are lots of countries, right?
And this is what the government always said to us.
They've decoupled economic growth from our climate emissions.
That's great.
But we have committed and we're going to be fined, unless we reach certain targets by the EU, significant amounts.
So I wouldn't mind this talk about ambition, but at the moment, this government is pushing through aggressively anti-climate bills all the time.
Last week, we had two bills that the government have disapplied Section 15 of the Climate Action Act, which was...
One of the only pieces of legislation the last government put through that actually had kind of teeth in it, that held and made sure that our public authorities, our public bodies have to take climate considerations and our carbon targets into account when making decisions.
