I think they are a legitimate and important form of micro mobility in the country.
But we already have a ban for under 16 scooters or e-scooters are already limited or should be limited to 20 kilometres per hour.
They're not allowed to go on footpaths.
Anything, any scooter that they are.
So this all comes back again and again.
Same applies to cyclists.
Absolutely, enforcement.
But I mean, with scooters, anything more powerful, anything that goes over 20 kilometres per hour is treated the same as a motorbike.
So perhaps there should be an outright ban on anything that can, any e-scooter or anything that looks like one of these little scooters that goes over 20 kilometres per hour.
Yeah, absolutely.
No, but they were also sold openly to go up to 55 kilometres an hour, which just seems outrageous.
Now, those types of things are required currently to have tax and insurance and helmets, right?
But that is just not enforced.
It all comes back down to enforcement.
Well, I certainly think the guards need to be indemnified when it comes to pursuit of people on e-scooters and scramblers.
And also, I suppose we need to start using drones to help the guardie chase people in these situations.
I know they're in use in the UK, so that's something I'd like to see rolled out here.

If 2.2% is the height of John's ambition, I'm very disappointed with that.
