There are a lot of people who have available it uh could have bought a house without it.

I don't think the Department of Finance is in favor of uh these incentives either.
But, you know, maybe that's to be uh maybe that's to be expected.
It's going to their job, I suppose, in some respects.
But um the shared equity scheme as well, I mean, you know, if you're availing of that, you really need prices to keep going up, don't you?
Uh if you if you're planning to move out of that house at some point, you're gonna have to repay the the equity bit that the government holds and you really need prices to
well spent.
So how much has been wasted in your view?

How do you parcel off, let's say the border areas, the the counties that I mentioned uh earlier?
How do you sort of uh design something, a scheme or a tax measure or a break or whatever you want to call it that
But if if the demand is there in those counties for new housing and it's not being delivered at the moment
Why wouldn't builders build in those kinds of things?
Well the vacan
wonder is there a quirk to the census and and you would know this uh better than I would, but like a l on a lot of farms, there is the original farmhouse which is no longer used, and maybe it doesn't have a roof anymore, it doesn't have windows or it's not habitable, really.
But it's still a property, it's still registered, it's on the land register or whatever.
