Is it because there's so many sheep in the Highlands up in the hills and they can't find food?
Are they coming down to the roads to eat along and graze along the side of the road?
It's about balance and it's about balancing
the ecosystem, balancing nature and balancing that with the needs of the local people as well.
I mean, you know, I'm a big advocate for road safety and, you know, keeping people safe on the roads.
That's always going to be our priority, particularly being from Donegal and the tragedies that have happened up here.
Yeah, well, I mean, we can just look to our neighbors on the continent for those answers.
Claire, you know, all of our neighbors now in the EU have wolves back living, including Holland, Belgium, France, Spain, Portugal.
We have wolves, we have lynx, and they don't have the deer population that we have.
And they're not having to send the army out into the wilderness to shoot deer or anything like that.
They farm quite comfortably and profitably alongside nature.
And that's really where we have to go, Clare.
We have to start getting ourselves back into balance with nature, just as our ancestors did.
No, no, they haven't.
That's the thing.
It would be headline news.
It would be headline news.
The amazing thing is that sheep are actually very easily protected from wolves and wolves.
There's, there's huge studies in this.
And like, we, we were way behind in this.
