And that created a whole picture in Shonda's head of what it was like to be a woman trying to be a surgeon.

And trying to have a personal life at the same time.

Isn't it crazy how someone can say one thing to you and you're like, I have an entire plot for a series.

And then you get the character.

Like everything must have just come to her.

That is so cool.

I feel like this is going to be good for your writing heart test.

And speaking of all of that, it was very important to her to show real women's stories.

But then I watched the pilot last night.

And I mean, Ellen Pompeo, like she is quite striking, but I think that we just never seen a leading woman like her.

I feel like Katherine Heigl was more of the, like the blonde.
